A leveling planner for WoW Forever

There's no right journey. There's yours.

Plan your own WoW Forever leveling route, free, solo or live with your duo or group. Guides walk you down a path someone else chose; Forever Routes hands you the map. Pick your zones, quests and every dungeon you want, see every level of the way before you take a step, then play it in game with our addon. We call it your journey: its stages, legs and stops.

The planner: a Tauren party's journey through Mulgore on one seamless map of Kalimdor, Thunder Bluff in place, the Forever Routes addon's card for the stop, its stages, legs and stops beside it, the party's XP and its quest log

Guides tell you where to go.
Forever Routes asks where you want to go.

A pre-made guide

  • One path, chosen by someone else
  • Written for one class, at the writer's pace
  • Skip a quest and you're off the guide
  • Dungeons where they fit, not where you want them
  • Your friends follow their own guides

Your journey

  • Planned together, live: your party edits the same journey at once
  • The zones you like, in your order
  • Planned for every character in your party, whatever their class and race
  • Skip anything: the levels and quest log follow
  • Add a dungeon and the quests that lead to it come too

Level with your duo or group

A shared session

Plan it together, live

Send your party one link. Everyone sees the same journey and edits it at the same time: you place the stops in the Barrens while your friend adds Wailing Caverns, and the levels, quest logs and guides of every character follow at once.

  • One link: friends open it and they're in
  • Every edit shows for everyone, as it happens
  • Every change in History, each one undoable
  • Each character's own quests, levels and Forever Routes guide

Your journey in the game.
Free.

The Forever Routes addon guides you through the journey you planned: a step-by-step guide like RestedXP's, built from your own plan. Every stop, quest and objective, whom to talk to, what to do on the way and what's next, for each character of your party. No paywall, 1 to 60.

  1. Get the Forever Routes addon from CurseForge or Wago: your addon app keeps it up to date.
  2. Plan your journey here, alone or with your duo or group.
  3. Copy its import string from Export… in the planner.
  4. /fr import in game and paste it. Changed something? Copy and paste again: your progress is kept.

The Forever Routes addon in the game at Camp Narache: turn in and accept quests from Grull Hawkwind, Chief Hawkwind and Brave Windfeather, three of them ticked, The Hunt Continues under While you go with its Mountain Cougar Pelts, and Seer Graytongue next
Every stop as you planned it, guided in the game.

Every dungeon you want, with its quests

Put any dungeon in your route, all of them if you like. Each is one stage: a quest check at its entrance, then the run. The check says which of its quests each of you has, and how to get what's missing.

Adding Wailing Caverns after The Barrens: 12 quests in the run, 8 at the quest check and 4 missing, each quest with how it stands at the entrance (Leaders of the Fang needs an earlier quest turned in first, Trouble at the Docks and Serpentbloom get shared there) and who it's handed in to
  • A quest check at the entrance. Each quest, for each of you: in your log, shared there by someone in your group, or missing and why.
  • A fix for what's missing. Pick it up earlier in your journey, bring it yourself, grind to its level first, or leave it out of this run.
  • Handed in when you're next in town. No trip to Thunder Bluff right after the run: each quest waits in your log till your journey's back there.
Kalimdor as one map with every dungeon's entrance, the journey's stops in Mulgore and Wailing Caverns' card: who is too low yet, its chains
The whole world at a glance. Forever's zones and dungeons on its own maps, with what each holds for your party right now.

How it works

  1. Gather your party

Add each character with its race and class. Quests only some of you can take are marked for them.

The party: a Tauren Druid and a Tauren Warrior, their levels and XP
  2. Draw your journey on Forever's maps

Right-click the map to place a stop. Quest givers, objectives and flight paths are right there; a town's quests are one click.

Mulgore: the towns' badges with what waits there and the stops made there, the stops' numbered pins in the journey's colours, and the hunting grounds shaded
  3. Add the dungeons you want

Pick one on the map: it becomes a stage, a quest check at its entrance then the run. The check says which of its quests each of you has, and how to get what's missing.

Wailing Caverns checked for the party: 8 of 12 quests ready for the run, 4 missing at the quest check, then Leaders of the Fang flagged as missing
  4. Play it

Step through it stop by stop with your party, or take it into the game: get the Forever Routes addon from CurseForge or Wago, copy your journey from Export… and paste it with /fr import.

The Forever Routes addon in the game: finish The Hunt Begins before moving on, its Plainstrider Meat and Feather counted, then on to Grull Hawkwind

A closer look

The Journey panel: a stage, its leg and its stops, each with its kind's mark and levels, the quests done on the way as blue lines, and the stop shown under them
Organize it like layers. Stages and legs, dragged and grouped.
The quest log: the next stop's quests as the game's objective tracker, then the log by zone, with what's left of each quest, its XP and the stop that takes it further
Your quest log, ahead of time. What the next stop does, and where each quest goes next, for every character.

What's in it

Forever's world, not Classic's

Its new zones, quests and dungeons are in, every quest up to level 30 so far, and we keep adding to them as the game changes.

Chains, untangled

What a quest needs first, and who in the party still needs it.

Levels worked out

XP from quests and kills, stop by stop: you see the level you're at everywhere you go.

Stages and legs

Organize a whole journey like layers: drag, group, rename.

Live with friends

Share a link; edits show for everyone at once, with undo.

Into the game

Export your journey to the Forever Routes addon and follow it stop by stop.

From a whole journey to one quest

A journey isn't written for you: you build it, top down. A journey is made of stages, a stage of legs, a leg of stops, and at each stop you take your quests step by step.
